During the mid-February that I’m writing this, I feel like the cold has finally alleviated, or if I say that the biggest cold wave in history is going to get recorded isn’t it, smoothly worrying about that, yet, I normally love the snow so a cold that freezes over and would allow for me to play in the snow is also something I’d also be slightly happy about, that’s the sort of ygarshy I am. I love the recording of when SHERBETS played their frozen hits in the freezing cold on a Shinjuku Rooftop, still looking cold even with warm coats hugging their bodies. If only I was able to hear “Siberia” like that too ahh, I’m constantly fantasizing about such but, when I imagine what those fingertips must actually feel like performing, I just feel sorriness instead. That’s why the day when I first heard “Siberia” live at JCB Hall was like a moment when I felt my dream come true. That memory always lets me know when it’s winter.

Right now I’m circling the country on a tour based off the album “ai/SOlate” which was released in December of last year. Winter national tours have become a custom for Hitorie, but it has actually gotten intense once about 2 years ago. When we were on the snowy road to our Niigata show. We came out of the Kanetsu tunnel, and there in that moment the world transformed into pure white. I couldn’t speak of a leisure luxury such as playing in the snow amidst the truest of Japan’s oceans’ blizzards. From the highway traffic to even the general roads, the feet of the local people’s cars were halted down to the core. Ah it’s fine as long as we arrive in time for the show tomorrow, I was reassured, as I gazed out at the snowy remains of the blizzard. The air so crisp and clear I felt like I could see it with my eyes, the sounds of the entire city absorbed by it, in that special silence I felt a peculiar peace of mind, I remember. Of course this was all after I finished fearing the possibilities of the car carrying our instruments slipping and crashing.

We’re only in the early stages of the tour as I’m writing this but, there’s such fulfillment that already it feels as if we’re in the late stages. The mini album’s songs are the protagonists, influencing the rest. and our old songs are starting to take on the expressions of the present. I deliver all songs in an “ai/SOlate” fashion. I hope that songs new and old in a new light, all the same, will be able to pierce into someone’s winter.

About the pizza this time, this is a margherita that I ate at the pizza cafe near Kiss FM Koube, and another margherita made with buffalo mozzarella. At first I simply meant to order one margherita to go along with my coffee but, I was getting so shocked over how well the soft crust blended with the sauce, that shinoda starting coming at me with these mysterious taunts saying “You wanna eat another one of this doncha?”. At that point I just ordered the buffalo one. The cheese is an obvious, and the crust supporting it so well just shines a light on the whole synergistic effect even more; perfectly reflecting our tour setlist, It made me think about how much I want a pizza oven in my house. I cannot wait to appear on Kiss FM again.

Well then everyone let’s meet at the venue.
